Jonathan Yoder PMHNP-BC

Personalized, evidence‑based psychiatric care for adults with difficult‑to‑treat depression and OCD in Fredericksburg, VA.

Stylized illustration of leaves, featuring shades of green and blue, arranged in a starburst pattern.

I started Redbud Behavioral Health to give people high‑quality, individualized care without the maze of a large clinic. My focus is helping adults whose depression or OCD hasn’t fully responded to the usual approaches. Together we’ll clarify what’s driving symptoms, weigh the evidence behind each option, and choose a plan that fits your life and values.

Signature that reads
  • Complex depression & OCD (including prior non‑response)

  • Medication management - careful, evidence‑based use (including older yet effective options like lithium or MAOIs when appropriate)

  • Psychotherapy - emotion‑focused / ISTDP‑informed work

  • TMS therapy - conventional (insurance‑based when eligible) and Accelerated TMS (5‑day or 1‑day)

  • Esketamine (SPRAVATO) - in‑clinic nasal spray for treatment‑resistant depression

  • Do you accept insurance?

  • Can I stay on my current meds or therapy?

Often yes. We coordinate with your current prescriber/therapist and adjust as needed.

  • How fast might I feel better?

Timelines vary by treatment. Some people notice changes during TMS week; many feel the full benefit in the days to weeks after finishing. We’ll review expectations up front.

  • Is Accelerated TMS different from regular TMS?

Yes, accelerated condenses many short sessions into 5 days (or a 1‑day protocol for select cases). No anesthesia or downtime. Read more: Accelerated TMS
